    Learning game
    Synopsis

This project was developed during my Usability & UX master degree. The challenge was to create a gamified application focused to teaching introductory level concepts related to usability and UX. We conceived and developed the first functional prototype of this browser game in Unity5, which was also published at a website developed and designed by us, with a minimum accessibility level of AAA. Both the game and website were subjected to user testing and usability heuristics. To know more check out Era da UX project page.

    Usability evaluation for FNAC.PT

The usability evaluation of Fnac’s online store was operationalized through a hybrid method of usability heuristics + cognitive walkthrough, where two personas were created with a profile location at both extremes of users spectrum, regarding the experience with online shopping. Also, it was designed and developed a private website containing, among other elements, a problem prioritization matrix. This was an academic study, it was not ordered by Fnac. SALIENCy EFFECT IN THE CREATION OF NEW MENTAL MOdELS OF WEBSITES

In this study, saliency of specific objects was manipulated jointly with their location. The method involves recording the speed of web objects detection, regarding its location and extra saliency, with the aid of the SaliencyToolbox for the stimuli creation. The results from this study can provide to interaction designers a possible technique when facing systems where objects were modified, so as to facilitate the user’s mental models creation ou redesign for that web objects.
